Blame it on Viagra
A 46-year-old man, with “numerous prior convictions” for driving under the influence, reportedly made eye contact with Snoqualmie police officers at 1:10 a.m. on Feb. 22 as he rolled his green 2000 Ford pickup past a stop sign at Kinsey Street and Center Boulevard. As officers were giving the suspect a field sobriety test, the man said his recent ingestion of a Viagra tablet was to blame for his eyes not focusing properly. Officers initiated a number of sobriety tests, all of which the suspect allegedly failed. The suspect was booked into the Issaquah Jail for violation of driving under the influence.
Glass graffiti
Snoqualmie police responded to two reports of malicious mischief in which vulgar writings were left on residents’ vehicles. In the first case, reported at 8 a.m. Feb. 23, a resident of the 6300 block of Douglas Avenue S.E. reported finding the words “I followed U Home,” on the back window of her 2007 Subaru. The woman, who identified herself to officers as principal of Evergreen High School, said she believed the perpetrators could possibly be students she had recently suspended from school, all of whom she identified as being involved “in some sort of gang activity.”
The second report, filed at 12:45 p.m. Feb. 23, was filed by a resident of the 34400 block of SE Dio Street. Someone had written a vulgar term on the back window of her vehicle, a 2008 Toyota, in what officers said appeared to be white shoe polish. The victim told officers she had no idea “who may have defiled her car in such a way,” but officers noted the writing was “similar” to the earlier reported incident.
Loud muffler leads to arrest
A 29-year-old woman was arrested on a variety of drug-related charges Feb. 23 after Snoqualmie police were alerted to her vehicle by “an extremely loud and unusual noise” coming from the woman’s 1992 Honda Accord, which was traveling on Railroad Avenue SE near SE Northern Street. The woman told officers she had no driver’s license, vehicle registration or insurance. Upon receiving permission to search the vehicle, officers discovered a “yellow metal smoking device … with the distinct and obvious look and odor of burnt marijuana.” Officers also allegedly found a white plastic bottle containing white tablets believed to be oxycodone hydrochloride and inside a backpack a copper metal brillo pad which the report states is common to for use in smoking illegal narcotics. A further search of the suspect’s clothing revealed a “greenish-clear small plastic baggie” containing a substance reportedly tested positive for methamphetamine. After transporting the woman to the King County Jail, and while processing her arrest, officers determined the woman had “track marks” on insides of her arms, indicating intravenous injection of narcotics. The woman reportedly admitted to a two-year addiction to methamphetamine.

Wrong way car ticketed
Reports of “ongoing parking issues” in the 38300 block of SE Northern Street prompted officers to issue infractions for a vehicle parked “facing the wrong direction” at 11:02 a.m. Feb. 22.
Aid woman
Officers assisted a woman into her residence, in the 7500 block of Raven Avenue SE at 5 p.m. Feb. 22. According to the report, “officers assisted homeowner with gaining access to her locked residence via fire department ladder.”
Undeliverable mail
A car, parked in the 34800 block of SE Kinsey Street, was blocking mailbox access and the cause of the post office not delivering mail for a week, according to a report filed at 5:31 p.m. Feb. 22. Officers responding to the scene determined the vehicle was parked legally, but the tires were marked.
