Editorial: Snoqualmie tagline not an easy decision

We applaud the efforts of the Snoqualmie City Council to put time, effort and money into economic development. At a recent meeting, the Council approved the recommendation of its Community and Economic Affairs Committee to contract with LoudEdge Creative communications for brand development and design.

LoudEdge has suggested the City adopt a tagline, “Your Place of Discovery,” to go along with marketing materials. The tagline has not yet been adopted and will be discussed again at the April 14 council meeting. Read more

Daycare center embraces new playground

Parents and caregivers are wary of the playground at Encompass, a care center in North Bend catering to infants and children. Read more

Marigolds and cauliflower to fund senior center

Susan Miller, activity director at the SnoValley Senior Center, is reaching out to plant enthusiasts for the center’s May fundraiser. Contributed.

Farmer Erick Haakenson plans to pepper the Sno-Valley Senior Center annual plant fundraiser with starter tomato plants and members of the brassica family - including broccoli and cauliflower - alongside eggplant and winter squash.

This is Haakenson’s first time participating in the plant fundraiser, scheduled for May 2-3. Read more
