Robert Andrealli, of Carnation, died peacefully on April 9th at Overlake Medical Center in Bellevue. He was 85 years old.
Robert was born on March 7, 1923 near Snohomish, WA, the son of Robert and Rose Andrealli He was raised in Carnation and graduated from Tolt High School in 1943. He lived his whole life in the Snoqualmie Valley except for his service with the United States Army after high school.
On his return from the service, he operated the family dairy and worked at several local sawmills. When his parents died, he took over the dairy and was proud of his awards for quality milk that he produced.
Robert did side jobs plowing and haying for neighbors and made countless friends along the way. He was a familiar sight on his old John Deere tractor moving from one job to the next often followed by a half-mile long traffic jam.
In the Carnation area he was affectionately known as “Tractor Bob”. He counted most every one as his friend and always tried to look after those who were less fortunate. Those of us who were privileged to be his friends and neighbors will sorely miss his kind nature and friendly wave.
He was preceded in death by his parents Rose and Robert, sister Lee Bennett and brother Donald (Dino) Andrealli.
Surviving family members include his sister Mary Krahn and brother-in-law Bob Krahn of Portland, his brother-in-law Dale Bennett of Seattle, and four nieces and one nephew.
A memorial reception will be held at the Sno-Valley Senior Center in Carnation on Sunday, April 20, 2008 from 1 to 3 pm. Family and friends are welcome to come and share a celebration of Bob’s life
Internment will be a private family gathering at the Snohomish GAR Cemetery.
The family suggests remembrances to the Sno-Valley Senior Center or the Tolt Historical Society.
