A six-month-old North Bend boy died hours after a car driven by his mother collided with a pickup truck April 14, according to the King County Sheriff’s Office.
Sgt. John Urquhart said the boy, who was in a car seat, died about nine hours after the collision, which occurred at 4:50 p.m. on Winery Road.
The King County Medical Examiner’s Office identified the infant as Dustin Mathew Sattleberg.
The identity of the 18-year-old mother has not been released by authorities, nor that of a 16-year-old passenger, who also was critically injured in the crash, which sent a 1998 Mercury Mystique plunging off an embankment.
The 34-year-old driver of the second vehicle, a 1997 Ford Ranger pickup, was not seriously injured, according to Urquhart.
