Jon Joseph Horiuchi

Jon Joseph Horiuchi, 69, passed away at his home in Snoqualmie April 26, 2008.

He was born in Rock Springs, Wyoming July 8, 1938, the son of Paul and Bernadette Horiuchi. Jon was raised in Seattle where he graduated from Franklin High School.

Jon served in the US Air Force after high school. He worked for Clark’s Towing and Lewis Hardware in Issaquah for several years. Jon owned and operated Front Street TV in Issaquah from 1975 to 2000. He was a volunteer for Issaquah Salmon Days for many years. Jon moved to Snoqualmie in 1982 and married Shelly Greathouse on December 2, 1988. Jon was known as a Jonny-Rigging Electronic Engineering Specialist. His hobbies and interests included SCUBA, boating, fishing, photography and camping. One of his favorite activities was the annual Blue Lake camping trip with family and friends.

Survivors include his wife Shelly, five daughters, Arlene Greathouse, of Snoqualmie, Diane Budinick, of Issaquah, Moselle Horiuchi, of Kent, Melinda Horiuchi, of North Bend, Melony Ellsworth, of Carnation; three sons Jack and Douglas Greathouse, both of North Bend, Steven Horiuchi, of Kent; his mother Bernadette Horiuchi, of Seattle; two brothers Paul Jr. and Vincent Horiuchi, both of Seattle; 11 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held 11:00 am, Thursday, May 1, 2008 at Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church 39025 SE Alpha St. Snoqualmie.
