North Bend auction to help Uganda

The Ugandan government is passing a bill that would require cement on all school floors to help prevent jiggers - otherwise known as sand fleas - from feasting on student fingers and toes.

Kimberly and John Calhoun of North Bend hope to raise enough money so that a new school being constructed in a Ugandan village will have basic amenities for students - cement floor included. Read more
