Dennis “Denny” Drinnin, of Carnation, passed away suddenly and unexpectedly at home May 27.

He was born in Larimore, North Dakota on April 10, 1941. He came to the Seattle area at 10 years of age and moved to Carnation in 1993. Denny is survived by Kalena, his wife of 17 years, his three sons, his granddaughter, and their families: Wes and his daughter Julie; Danny; and Darren and his wife Patty. He also had an extended family of several “honorary” children and grandchildren that were special in his heart.

Denny was active in sports and coached baseball and soccer when his sons were growing up. He was an avid golfer for many years and was a baseball fan his entire life.

He worked as a meat cutter for Albertson’s his entire career. He retired in 1998, but worked part-time, until he accumulated over 40 years with the company. He was a member of meat cutters local 81 and retired out of meat cutters local 44.

His sense of humor and simple joy of life will be sorely missed.

A celebration of Denny’s life will be held on June 28. Please contact a family member for details.
