Anne Marie Hagreen
Anne Marie Hagreen, of Carnation, died in Issaquah on Monday, July 7, 2008. She was 76.
A viewing was July 12. Funeral Mass was July 14, as was a committal service. 
Anne was born July 14, 1931, in Chicago, the daughter of Bill and Ann Geegan. She was raised in Chicago, attended St. Adrian’s Grammar School and graduated from Visitation High School. She also attended the University of Maryland.
On Dec. 30, 1950, Anne Marie married now Col. Frederick H. Hagreen Sr., U. S. Army retired, and together they embarked on world travel during her husband’s Army career, living in three foreign countries and eight states. She moved to Carnation in 1990 and at the time of her death had been married to Fred for 58 years.
Throughout her life, Anne was a vivacious, fun-loving, deeply devoted wife, mother and grandmother. As a devout Catholic possessing a true servant’s heart, she always put her faith and others’ needs ahead of her own. Anne’s interests included ceramics, cake baking and decorating, and needlepoint; her hospitality was extraordinary.
Survivors include her sons, Frederick H Hagreen II, of Covington, Mark W. Hagreen, of Carnation, Laurel Anne Demary, of Welsh, La.; sister Betty A. Kenney, of Sun City Ariz.; brother Bill J. Geegan, of Hometown, Ill.; and 12 grandchildren. A granddaughter preceded her in death.

Violet Lillian Waggoner
Violet Lillian Waggoner, of North Bend, died Tuesday, July 7, 2008, at her daughter’s home in North Bend. She was 79.
A memorial service was July 12. 
Violet was born Sept. 10, 1928, in Chicago, to Hind and Minnie Christie. She was raised in Denver, where she graduated from West High School.
On Aug. 4, 1962, she married Fred Waggoner in Idaho Springs, Colo. They lived in Morrison, Colo., until 1975, when they moved to Renton. In 1998, they moved to Raymond, Wash., and in 2006, they purchased a second home in North Bend.
Violet worked as the director of Labor’s Community Agency and later as the treasurer of the Denver-area Labor Federation. She was also deeply involved in the communities she lived in. She participated in and was a member of Pi-R Squares, Mariners Woman’s Club, The Humane Society and The Crisis Support Network, the last of which she also served as a board member.
In her leisure time, she enjoyed square dancing, reading, bowling, cake decorating, theater and animals. Her family will remember her as a feisty, sexy, compassionate, caring and generous woman, with a sparkle in her eye and a teasing crinkle on her nose. She will be deeply missed.
Survivors include her loving husband Fred Waggoner, of North Bend; children, Sue Comeau, of Denver, Denise Ritthaler, of North Bend, Don Waggoner, of Canyon City, Calif., Freddie Waggoner, of Manhattan, N.Y., and Victoria VanTassel, of Las Vegas; stepchildren Doug Waggoner, of Spokane, and Tim Waggoner, of Kansas City, Kan.; 16 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren; and a host of extended family members and friends.
