North Bend Library is now host to a menagerie of animals, ranging from the amphibious and shelled to the warm-blooded and winged. They’re trapped in the Children’s Section — on a canvas, to be specific — and starring in a painting called “Non-fiction on the Loose.” Read more

Breast cancer survivor makes strides against cancer

This month, Snoqualmie resident Michele Trumbull can proudly say she is five years cancer-free.
As a tribute to her success, Trumbull was nominated by Overlake Hospital Medical Center to be a survivor representative for the 2008 Puget Sound Making Strides Against Breast Cancer 5-kilometer walk. The walk will take place Sept. 28 in Downtown Bellevue Park. Read more
