December 3, 2008
By Staff
The city of Snoqualmie’s annual tree lighting ceremony will be at 6:30 p.m. Dec. 4 at Railroad Park in downtown Snoqualmie.
Santa Claus will light the tree in the park’s gazebo and then welcome children to tell him their Christmas wishes. Apple cider and cookies also will be on hand, and an old-fashioned carriage ride is scheduled to make a tour around the block. The Mount Si choir is scheduled to sing carols.
The event is sponsored by the city of Snoqualmie Parks and Recreation Department and the Residential Owners Association. It is open to the public.
Organizers are asking those who attend to bring non-perishable food items to donate to the Mt Si Helping Hands Food Bank.
For more information, please call the Parks and Recreation Department at 831-5784 or the Residential Owners Association at 396-5430.
