Leona Fern Gervais
Leona Fern Gervais died Saturday, Dec. 13, surrounded by her family and the staff at Snoqualmie Hospital at the age of 81.
Leona was born in North Dakota in 1926 to Casper and Jessie (Freer) Halverson. The family moved to the Snoqualmie Valley in 1936. She was a member of the last graduation class of North Bend High School in 1944.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Robert J. Gervais, stepson Robert “Joe” Frost, grandson Ernest Joseph Jeffreys and son-in-law John Anderson.
She is survived by her brother, Wayne Halverson of North Bend and her sister, Laurel Welling of Snoqualmie; her children Steven Gervais of Ellensburg, Vance Gervais of Gifford, Ardelle Gervais of Alaska, Doris Orechwa of California and Mary Anderson of North Bend.
In lieu of flowers, Leona requested that you remember your veterans and seniors during the holidays, or donate to your favorite charity.
At her request, there will be no funeral.
