The recent flooding has impacted a number of roads in Snoqualmie and North Bend.
A landslide has closed Southeast Middle Fork Road from Lake Dorothy Road going east to the other end of Lake Dorothy Road.
In Snoqualmie, State Route 202 remained closed Thursday morning in both directors from just east of the Snoqualmie Falls parking lot to the west border of North Bend.
Other street closures in Snoqualmie include:
• Southeast Mill Pond Road between Tokul Road Southeast and Southeast Reinig Road;
• Southeast Reinig Road between 396th Ave Southeast & 428th Avenue Southeast; and,
• Southeast Reinig Road between Southeast Mill Pond Road and 396th Drive Southeast.
The flooding has also impacted streets in downtown North Bend. Affected streets include Cedar Avenue, Main Avenue South, and some streets in the Si View subdivision.
Additional road closures in North Bend include:
• Ballarat Avenue north of 8th Steet to the intersection to 12th Street.
• 415th Way Southeast between East Ribary Way and Southeast 142nd Street (Uplands Way Southeast);
• 420th Avenue Southeast between Southeast 103rd Place and Southeast 108th Street; and,
• 428th Avenue Southeast between Southeast Reinig Road and Southeast Ernies Grove Road.
People visiting the Factory Outlet Mall are advised to avoid the north entrance.
King County road crews monitored area roadways throughout Wednesday night. Flooding on the lower Snoqualmie River may cause additional road closures.
Residents traveling to work are urged to check for the latest traffic and weather reports before leaving their homes. County and local officials continue to warn travelers that crossing flooded roads in a vehicle or on foot can be extremely dangerous.
In addition to the river flooding the heavy rain and saturated soils have caused mudslides and road washouts. Some roads may be closed for some time, and repairs will be costly. The county will assess the full damage caused by the storm over the next couple of days.
Information on road closures was compiled from county and local sources. King County maintains a list of updated road closures at http://your.kingcounty.gov/kcdot/roads/roadalert/default.aspx.
City websites also provide information on road closures and flood conditions. Snoqualmie’s website is www.ci.snoqualmie.wa.us; and North Bend’s website is www.ci.northbend.wa.us.
