Valley residents pick up pieces from flood

For many downtown Snoqualmie residents, Friday was cleanup day.

Matt Skinner and Tim Brown, both Southeast Park Street residents, spent Friday morning pumping water out of their basements and helping their neighbors do the same. On Park Street and other parts of downtown Snoqualmie, the hum of water pumps sounded in the background all morning.

Locals enjoy volunteering with railroad

Trains have often occupied Lee Fellinge’s thoughts. When he retired from a career in corporate finance, he became a conductor for the Union Pacific Railroad, but the demanding schedule caused him to rethink his priorities.

Valley starting to recover from flood

The Snoqualmie River is receding after Wednesday’s flood and downtown residents and businesses have started to cleanup.

 

State Route 202 through downtown Snoqualmie was opened Thursday afternoon, after being closed for a day due to flooding. Power has also been restored to downtown Snoqualmie.
