for one, knock and talk strategies have been ruled unconstitutional by the Washington supreme court. Getting a warrant from an anonymous tip should be just as unconstitutional. If the person is not willing to give their name, then there should not be any credibility to the tip since the informant is not held responsible for their actions. Since the police wont help us on this, citizens should learn to help each other. Dante stated in the Inferno that the deepest level of hell is reserved for snitches, like Judas for ratting out Jesus. We should make sure that informants pay for these crimes against their fellow man.

It is absurd that in 2009 we are still persecuting folks for growing marijuana. The police used an "armored vehicle"? Wouldn't it just be easier to knock on the front door and be let in? The police are becoming a gung-ho bunch of paramilitary terrorists who are the REAL al Qaeda. This "war on drugs" is really a war on citizens and the police are the bad guys. Marijuana should be legal. A group of 20,000 very serious policemen, prosecutors and attorneys have formed a group to legalize ALL drugs, Law Enforcement Against Prohibition (http://leap.cc ) They see what happened when we legalized alcohol in 1932 as a good example of how drug legalization would work. We can't stop drugs. They're sick of chasing drug users and sending innocent people to prison for decades just because they like to get high. This foolish war on drugs has lasted 37 years and cost us over a TRILLION dollars and we are not an inch closer to stopping drugs. How many millions of Americans are we going to lock up in prison for decades? Legalize ALL drugs now. Mark Montgomery boboberg@nyc.rr.com
