Tipton named to All-KingCo soccer team

After leading the Mount Si boys soccer team much of the spring, Wildcat goalkeeper Cody Tipton has earned first-team All-KingCo honors for Class 3A.
Tipton was one of two keepers and the only Mount Si player named to the first team. Mercer Island, which cruised through the league with a 12-0 mark, had the most representatives on the team with six, including Player of the Year Chris Morris and Coach of the Year Steve Newman.
Mount Si’s Sam Joselyn was named to the second-team at defender, as was teammate Sam Evans. Wildcat midfielders Eric Baumgardner and Doug Silvius also were named to the second team.
None of Mount Si’s second-team representatives are seniors.
