County to discuss plans for Snoqualmie Forest

Major project to start at the falls

Puget Sound Energy is planning a major update to Snoqualmie Falls Park that will focus on education and interpretation, but the work will force closures of the popular tourist site beginning in September.
PSE does not have the dates set for when the park will be closed. When a construction contractor is selected for the project, the schedule for the work will determine the times when the park will be closed, said PSE spokesman Roger Thompson. Read more

Three students in the Snoqualmie Valley School District have won awards for their poster designs. Mount Si High School junior Ashley Clearly and Twin Falls Middle School seventh-grader Rachel Prior have received recognition in the Drug Free Washington month poster contest among King and Pierce County high and middle schools.
