City hosts recycle day
September 16, 2009
By Staff
A recycle day is from 9 a.m.-3 p.m. Sept. 19 at Centennial Fields, 39903 S.E. Park St.
Recycle day is for Snoqualmie residents to dispose of household items that they no longer need. The items would otherwise end up in a landfill if they were not recycled. Some items, such as tires, require small fees to be recycled.
Items that are not accepted include oil-based paint, pesticides, and household chemicals. These items can be taken to the Household Hazardous Wastemobile, which will be in the Redmond Home Deport parking lot at 1777 N.E. 76th St. from Sept. 25-27. Information on hazardous waste disposal is available on the county’s Web site, or by phone at 206-296-4692.
For accepted items, go to Snoqualmie’s Web site and search for “Recycle Day.”
For more information, contact Loraine Neal at 888-1555 ext. 21.
