Cougar reported in Snoqualmie

A cougar was sighted near Centennial Fields and the Meadowbrook Farm in Snoqualmie Sept. 10.The Washington Department of Fish and Wildlife (WDFW) was notified.

The parks, which include the Three Forks Off-Leash Dog Park, are high traffic areas, especially for children. Centennial Fields is located at 39903 S.E. Park St.

The city advises that to reduce the risk of a cougar attack, children should be closely supervised.

Anyone who sees or encounters a cougar is encouraged to call WDFW at 877-933-9847.
