Two months into new job, director leaves for Si View Parks.Less than two months after becoming the Snoqualmie Valley Chamber of Commerce’s executive director, Minna Rudd has resigned.

She is leaving to become Si View Metropolitan Parks’ recreation coordinator, special events and marketing, according to the chamber.

Rudd had been the chamber’s office manager since 2005 before being promoted to executive director in August.

Chamber president Steve Rackets said her departure was “unexpected.

“We were looking forward to Minna serving an extended term as our executive director, so this is a surprise,” Rackets said. “I know that our board and membership wish Minna nothing but the best at Si View and will look forward to working with her.”

Prior to Rudd, Karen Granger had served as the chamber’s director since 2008.

The next director must know how to execute the group’s mission “to promote and maintain a healthy economic environment within the community,” according to Rudd.

To apply for the position, send a resume and cover letter to the chamber at 8051 Falls Ave. S.E., #2A, Snoqualmie, Wash. 98065, or via e-mail to the chamber office at director@snovalley.org.
