Tolt Bridge project earns top honors from state and federal agencies

The new Tolt Bridge over the Snoqualmie River has been recognized by the Federal Highway Administration and Washington State Department of Transportation for its design.Each year, the agencies select four public transportation projects statewide for recognition based on construction, safety, innovative design, environmental compatibility, and public involvement and satisfaction.
The Tolt Bridge received the Director’s Award, which is equivalent to a best overall category.
The bridge was built by King County’s Road Services Division and opened May 2008.
