- MSHS soccer players are hosting a childcare fundraiser. The players will watch your children while you shop or otherwise occupy yourself from 9 a.m. – 1 p.m. or from 1:30-5:30 p.m. Dec. 5 and 12 at Mount Si High School. The cost is $30 per child; siblings are half price.
- Cascade Dance Academy will host its first holiday ballet at 3 p.m. Dec. 12 at Cascade View Elementary School. Admission is free.
- Snoqualmie Valley Transition Initiative public information sessions are from 6:30-8 p.m. Dec. 2, 3, 8 and 9 at various locations. Come to learn and discuss how to deal with economic crisis, climate change and peak oil on a local level. - Friends of the North Bend Library Silent Book Auction is Nov. 27-Dec. 6, North Bend Library, 115 E. Fourth St. High-quality, special-interest and literary books will be displayed in the Snoqualmie Library meeting room. Proceeds will help support programs at the library. - Fall City Arts Holiday Market is from 10 a.m. – 3 p.m. Dec. 5, Chief Kanim Middle School.
- Si View Holiday Bazaar, 10 a.m. – 4 p.m. Dec. 5, Si View Community Center. Shop a variety of local handmade arts and crafts, and enjoy entertainment by local talents. - Lori McPhetridge benefit dinner and auction is at 5 p.m. Dec. 5, the Moose Hall, 108 Sydney Ave. N., North Bend. The event is being held to help the McPhetridges cover medical bills. Organizers are seeking donations for the auction, such as a cord of wood, car repair service, a fishing trip, babysitting, house cleaning, baked goods, and new or gently used items. Donations can be dropped off at Moose Hall from 2-8 p.m. daily. The spaghetti dinner is $9; children under 6 are free. For more information, call Carmen Kossow at 749-9520.
- December Family Night featuring The Noise Guy is from 6:15-8:15 p.m. Dec. 11, Si View Community Center. This show is like no other – be prepared for a lot of giggling! Free crafts and dinner provided by Mount Si Culinary Program. Performance starts at 7 p.m. Family Nights are co-sponsored by Encompass and Si View Metro Parks. - “’Twas the Night Before Christmas” reading by author Karolyn Grimes is at 4 p.m. Dec. 23, Salish Lodge and Spa, 6501 Railroad Ave., Snoqualmie. Grimes is best known for her role as Zuzu Bailey in the holiday film, “It’s a Wonderful Life.”
