Candice Lynn McKnight of North Bend was born Jan. 26, 1955, in Sedro Wooley, to Jack Cuthbert and Jackie Orr. She died Nov. 4, 2009 at Mount Si Health Care in North Bend.

Candice attended Mount Si High School and Renton Technical College. She worked in medical billing in the health care industry and enjoyed the many friends she made while working for the Snoqualmie Tribe.

Her family remembers her heartwarming smile, her caring nature and love for her family and friends.

She is survived by her daughter Erica Lynn Ingrum of Monroe; granddaughter Emma Ingrum of Monroe; her father Jack Cuthbert of Rockport; and two brothers, Steven Cuthbert of Snoqualmie and Michael Orr of Port Townsend.

A memorial service and celebration of her life will be held at 1 p.m. Nov. 28, at the Cedar River Watershed Educational Center, 19901 Cedar Falls Rd. S.E., North Bend. All those who wish to celebrate her life of are welcome to attend. Arrangements by Flintoft’s Issaquah Funeral Home 425-392-6444.

John Thomas Fullerton of North Bend died Oct. 30, 2009. He was 67 years old.

John T. Fullerton

John was born on Oct. 16, 1942, in Seattle, Wash., to Tom and Mabel Fullerton. He was raised in Shoreline, where he attended high school. He earned a bachelor’s degree in education from Western Washington University and a master’s degree in mathematics from Central Washington University. In 1965, John became a math teacher at Newport High School, a profession he followed for 28 years.

John played varsity football in high school and for four years at WWU. Shortly after joining the faculty at Newport, he began a career as a coach of varsity football, wrestling, and track and field. It was a career marked by numerous state championships and conduct that earned him the respect of his players, peers and the athletics community across the state.

Many friends also remember John as an accomplished fisherman, outdoorsman, photographer and volunteer. He climbed mountains, fished the rivers of Washington, Canada and Alaska, photographed the landscapes and people in his life, and devoted time to the Boy Scouts of America. His family will remember him as a caring husband, father and grandfather.

John is survived by his wife Sharon; his sister Carol; his extended children, including Bryce, Connor, Stacy, Shelia, Wesley, Matthew, and Michael; and five grandchildren.

A memorial and celebration of his life was held at 1 p.m. Nov. 11, at Newport High School, Bellevue.
