The American Legion meets at 6 p.m. Dec. 10 at the American Legion Building, 38625 S.E. River St., Snoqualmie.

Snoqualmie Unplugged II, 6-8 p.m. Dec. 11, multiple locations. Ten local venues will feature live music in the second year of the event, which is sponsored by the Snoqualmie Arts Commission. Venues include Ana’s Mexican Restaurant, Carmichael’s True Value, Chew Chew Café, Finaghty’s Irish Pub and Restaurant, Isadora’s Café, KoKo Beans, Mix it Up Ice Creamery, Snoqualmie Brewery and Taproom, and Snoqualmie Ridge Athletic Club. The Noise Guy will be making weird and delightful noises at a free show from 6:15-8:15 p.m. Dec. 11 at Si View Community Center, 400 S.E. Orchard Drive, North Bend. Drop and Shop Childcare MSHS Soccer fundraiser, 9 a.m.-1 p.m. and 1:30-5:30 p.m. Dec. 12, Mount Si High School. Drop your child off and take care of your holiday shopping! Mount Si soccer players are providing childcare to raise money for their trip to England next summer. The cost is $30 per session (siblings are half price). Volunteer Opportunities
The King County Library System Traveling Library Center needs volunteers to share their love of reading with someone who cannot use the library. Volunteers must be at least 18 years old, have reliable transportation, and can select, deliver and return library materials to one shut-in patron at least once a month, for one year. The Senior Services Transportation Program seeks volunteers to drive seniors around North Bend and Snoqualmie. Volunteers choose the times and areas in which they’d like to drive. Own car required.
