When Papa John’s pizza announced it would donate all of its profits to the families of the four fallen Lakewood police officers, the Snoqualmie store tripled its orders. On a typical night, the branch receives between 80 and 100 orders. On Dec. 8, the first day of its two-day fundraiser, it filled 380 orders.

“On Wednesday, we actually closed down because we ran out of product,” manager Calen Whitlock said.

Whitlock said customers were excited Papa John’s was raising money for the Lakewood Police Independent Guild’s benevolent fund, which will benefit the families of officers Tina Griswold, Ronald Owens, Mark Renninger and Gregory Richards.

Rain checks for the fundraiser can still be ordered at the Snoqualmie Papa John’s through the end of December. Call 888-8500 to place an order.
