A big-leaf maple tree has fallen into the Snoqualmie River, creating a boating hazard, according to King County officials.
The tree fell into the river and is partially submerged at approximately river mile 37.2, directly across from the Snoqualmie Falls Golf Course, along the southern bank of the river. That stretch of river is popular with fishermen during winter months, according to officials.
The area is between the Tokul Creek and Fall City boat launches, where County staff have posted warning signs.
King County staff are investigating the tree hazard to determine the next steps necessary to further ensure public safety, according to officials.
