Fatal Crash on Interstate 90

A wrong way driver crashed head-on into a box-truck on Interstate 90, killing himself and seriously injuring his passenger and the truck driver, according to The Seattle Times.

The driver, a 25-year-old man from Bremerton, was driving the wrong way on westbound Interstate 90, just west of North Bend, shortly after midnight on Friday. He almost hit a Washington State Patrol trooper, who swerved onto the shoulder to avoid the driver, according to The Seattle Times.The wrong-way driver also swerved, and hit the box-truck. The trooper was not hurt, and later reported alcohol was a factor in the accident.

The driver was killed in the accident. Both the passenger and the 43-year-old Lynnwood truck driver are at Harborview Medical Center.
