A 55-year-old woman driving a 2006 Ford Mustang hit a power pole at about 7:15 p.m. July 17, according to the King County Sheriff’s Office.
The Snoqualmie woman was driving eastbound on Southeast Reinig Road in the 41000 block, when it went off the south side of the road and hit a power pole, shearing it off, said Sgt. John Urquhart, spokesman for the sheriff’s office.
The car’s two passengers, both 13-year-old Snoqualmie boys, had minor injuries. They were transported to Overlake Hospital by ambulance. The driver was taken to Harborview Medical Center with serious, but not life-threatening, injuries, Urquhart said.
He said the accident is still under investigation and there have been no arrests, but alcohol and excessive speed are believed to be significant factors in the accident.
