The Mount Si High School girls soccer team held off Juanita for much of the night in their game Tuesday Oct. 19, but two strikes only a few minutes apart put the Rebels ahead. The Wildcats struck back quickly, but couldn’t overcome Juanita’s 2-1 lead.
The two teams held each other at bay for most of the night, until the 70th minute, when Juanita’s Tori Lee came up with an unassisted goal. Just eight minutes later, her teammate Kylie Hassel scored again to put the Rebels ahead 2-0.
With only a few minutes remaining, the Wildcats struck back. Leslie Stevens scored with an assist from Hailey Conway. It was Stevens’ fourth goal of the season and Conway’s third assist.
