Snoqualmie has started its fall food drive to collect food for local charities and food banks in Snoqualmie Valley.

Demand at food banks has risen steadily across the state, including at the Mount Si Helping Hand Food Bank in North Bend.

“Supporting food banks and charities in our communities is important to us,” said Loraine Neal, a city employee who has volunteered to coordinate the fall food drive.

All donations collected will stay local and be distributed to individuals and families within the area.

To participate, drop off food between 9 a.m. – 5 p.m. Monday through Friday until Nov. 22, at Snoqualmie City Hall’s lobby, 38624 S.E. River St.
