North Bend man injured in crash on Interstate 90 near Cle Elum

A North Bend, Wash., man was taken to Harborview Medical Center after a crash on Interstate 90 six miles west of Cle Elum on Wednesday afternoon, the Washington State Patrol reported.

Joseph Magnuson, 21, was being treated for cuts to the head and neck, and back pain, according to a patrol news release.

Thieves take money and equipment from Mount Si High School

More than $1,500 in checks and cash was stolen from Mount Si High School early on Jan. 6, according to an e-mail from the school.

A TV set, two laptop computers and an Xbox system are also missing, according to the e-mail.

The list may grow as teachers take inventory.

The year differs, the superintendent differs and the solution offered differs.

Last month, the Snoqualmie Valley School District proposed a $56 million bond to build a new middle school on district land on Snoqualmie Ridge.

In 2007, the district proposed a $209 million bond to build a new high school…somewhere.
