Snoqualmie seeks planning commissioner

June 27, 2012

By Staff

The city of Snoqualmie is looking to fill a Planning Commission seat, which will be open when commissioner Anne Cote steps down June 18.

Gwyn Berry, a planning technician with the city, said Cote, a commissioner since June 27, 2011, is moving out of the area.

Whoever is appointed to Cote’s seat by the mayor will finish out her term, which ends March 31, 2015.

The nine-member Planning Commission is primarily involved in long-range planning and land-use issues, including development of the comprehensive plan and zoning regulations. The commission is currently working with city staff on a major update of the Snoqualmie Comprehensive Plan, which plans for growth, development and conservation over a 20-year period.

The commission meets the first and third Monday of each month at 7 p.m. at City Hall.
