A public meeting regarding the Snoqualmie Valley Winter Shelter moving from North Bend Community Church to Mount Si Lutheran Church will be held at 1 p.m. Feb. 9 at the Lutheran church, located at 411 NE 8th St. in North Bend.

The shelter opened Dec. 23 at North Bend Community Church, and will move to Mount Si Lutheran Church beginning Feb. 15.

The Shelter provides a warm, safe place for up to 40 homeless men, women and families to sleep, share a meal and access information to help them. The shelter hours are from 8:30 p.m. to 8 a.m., seven days a week.

According to a press release from the shelter, they do not serve sex offenders. The shelter serves people with Snoqualmie Valley connections and has served 561 meals and provided 348 bednights to people without shelter in Snoqualmie Valley.

Organizers are asking people to share questions at the meeting and help them transition to the new shelter location.
