Lifework issues faced by persons with disabilities will be discussed from 5:30-7:30 p.m. May 2 at the Mt Si Senior Center, 411 Main Ave. S., North Bend.

The Governor’s Committee on Disability Issues and Employment is seeking information about concerns impacting the lives of individuals with disabilities and their families in North Bend and surrounding communities. “People with disabilities, families, friends, advocates, civic officials and service providers are encouraged to attend and share their comments and concerns” according to Barry Long, Chairperson of the Community Outreach Subcommittee.   They are interested in learning about: life and work issues, local success stories, and challenges persons with disabilities face and ideas for positive change.

For further information email Barry Long at barry@talkandroll.com, Cathy Warms at cwarms@u.washington.edu or Melinda Johnson, at msjohnson@esd.wa.gov or call 509-482-3854.
