When King County’s Wastemobile comes to town, you can be sure of where to dispose of old car batteries, oil, paint thinner and other household hazardous items safely and at no cost. The vehicle will make a stop at North Bend Elementary school, 400 E 3rd St., from July 12 to 14. It will park there from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. each day. This is a change from its previously announced location at Snoqualmie Elementary School.

Since its inception in 1989 as the nation’s first program of its kind, the Wastemobile has collected more than 16,000 tons of hazardous household waste from 450,000 customers.

Call the program’s Hazards Line at 206-296-4692 for more information regarding acceptable materials and quantity limits.
