Learn safety tips from an expert

One trick to being safe is to always be aware of your surroundings. Learn other tips and tricks to stay safe and keep your family safe in the Public Safety Meeting at 6 p.m. Sept. 19 at the Mt. Si Senior Center, 411 Main St. S, North Bend.

The guest speaker will be Sgt. Don Gulla, a King County officer with nearly 30 years experience. Gulla currently handles training for the Crisis Intervention Team (CIT). The Advanced CIT Force Options Course he developed is currently being taught throughout the state.

Gulla has been involved in martial arts and combat training for over 45 years, and is internationally recognized for his dedication to the training of police, military, and the public in defense techniques to avoid injury to all parties.

The Public Safety Meeting series, held the third Thursday of the month, is open to all ages. No reservations are necessary.
