Movie-makers wanted for Black Dog Arts Coalition Flash Film Fest
January 2, 2014
So you wanna make movies?
Get some credit for your efforts at the Black Dog Arts Coalition 2014 Flash Film Fest.
Youth and adults are invited to submit any genre by Feb. 28 including documentary, mockumentary and animation, but the films must be less than 10 minutes long including title and credits. Categories include Best Teen, Best Adult and Best Overall films.
The Flash Film Fest producers prefer movies be “G” rated because the showings attract an all-ages crowd. A limited number of “R” or “MA” rated films will be accepted but the viewing time for these ratings is minimal.
The films selected by the Flash Film Fest organizers will be viewed live March 13-15 at The Black Dog Café in downtown Snoqualmie. Tickets to the screenings are $10 per person per night.
All proceeds go to support the Black Dog Arts Coalition, a nonprofit group which strives to nurture, encourage and support artistic expression and education in order to create a rich arts culture in the Snoqualmie Valley.
Only Washington state residents may submit films. Although it isn’t required, the authors, creators and filmmakers are encouraged to attend the public viewing.
They will be admitted free to the show and will be contacted as to which nights their films will be shown.
