Three Snoqualmie Valley students won the North Bend Library writing contest, getting themselves prestige and a $50 gift card to Barnes & Noble.
Judges received more than 150 entries from talented and creative authors, King County Library Services teen librarian Sarah Lynch said.
The winners include high school student Christina Finley’s “For Your Kiss, I’d Die; For Your Love, I’d Go to Hell;” middle school student Claire Connor’s “The Executioned;” and elementary school student Manvi Saxena’s “The Dark.”
Friends of the North Bend Library sponsored the contest.
The SnoValley Star has printed excerpts of each winning entry, but due to space restrictions, cannot print the stories in their entirety.
Winners:
“The Dark” by Manvi Saxena
“For Your Kiss, I’d Die; For Your Love, I’d Go to Hell” by Christina Finley
“The Executioned” by Claire Connor
